Pioneer uses your information for purposes of account creation and administration, logging in to third party services, offering of a personalized experience, value added services, direct marketing and analytical purposes.
Pioneer may store your information on services located outside the European Union.
Pioneer can share your information with third parties.
You have the right to access and to correct your information. You have the right to oppose against the processing for direct marketing purposes.
The AppRadio Live App (“AppRadio Live App” or “the App”) is a mobile application that allows you to use the Pioneer Cloud Service (“Service”) with your compatible Pioneer product.
Pioneer Europe NV, incorporated at Keetberglaan 1, 9120 Beveren (Belgium) and known in the Crossroads bank of Enterprises under the number 4046.999.132, is in the European Union the company within the Pioneer Group responsible for data processing through electronic devices.
I. What information is collected?
It is not required to create an account to enjoy the use of the AppRadio Live App and service. However, by not creating an account, the use of the AppRadio Live App will be limited.
By creating such an account, Pioneer can provide you access to additional services and can also store user preferences & usage history, enabling a better user experience of the application. Pioneer collects and stores the information required to create an AppRadio Live user account.
In order to create an AppRadio Live account, the minimum information required is your email address and password. In addition you can optionally provide your first and last name, country of residence, date of birth and gender.
If you link your AppRadio Live account with third party services such as social networks (e.g. Facebook,), Wcities, INRIX, Yelp, Stitcher, and Feedly, Pioneer will store a token provided by these services, which will enable you to access the services without logging in each time. This token is anonymized, which means that the token cannot be linked back to you or your user account on a third party service provider site.
In addition to these data, Pioneer will process your preferences, favorites and usage history. Pioneer will also process anonymized location data and will log each call of the App or of your device to the Service. If provided, Pioneer will use your name, date of birth, gender and country of residence for market research and marketing purposes.
Yahoo! Inc. (“Yahoo!”) collects analytics information and device identifiers automatically from your device such as agent version, platform, SDK version, timestamp, API key (identifier for App), App version, iOS device identifier for advertising, iOS device identifier for Vendors, Android ID, BB Pin, Media Access Control (MAC) address, International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI), device model, manufacturer and OS version of the device, session start/stop time, IP address, device type, locale (specific location where a given language is spoken), time zone, network status (WiFi etc.), events, errors, page views, mobile carrier, language setting, geographic region, number of new App users per day, number of sessions per day, number and type of third-party apps launched, and the App version.
II. How is the collected information used?
Operation of the AppRadio Live App and Service
The data collected by Pioneer (email address, last name, first name, country of residence, date of birth and Gender) is used for the purposes of user account administration and to deliver the requested Service. The AppRadio Live App allows you to link your AppRadio Live account with your accounts on other service providers. By doing this you avoid having to log into your accounts on 3rd party service providers each time they want to access that service. Services which use this account linking facility include social networks (e.g. Facebook,), Yelp, Wcities, INRIX, Stitcher, and Feedly.
Provision of aggregated, non-identifiable usage information to Pioneer
The third-party analytics tool, called Flurry Analytics from Yahoo!, uses analytics data sent to Flurry’s servers from a Flurry software agent embedded in the AppRadio Live App on your device. Information collected through Flurry Analytics is used by Yahoo! to provide Pioneer with aggregated, non-identifiable AppRadio Live App usage information.
Pioneer receives aggregated, non-identifiable reports on usage from Flurry (“reports” or “AppRadio Live App usage data”). Pioneer uses those reports to track how the compatible Pioneer product, AppRadio Live App and compatible third-party apps are used in order to
- improve Pioneer products and services;
- conduct research, analysis, studies, and new product and service development;
- report to third party application providers on the use of their apps via the Pioneer product.
In this regard, Pioneer is the controller for the processing of your information.
Flurry Analytics “hashes” iOS device identifiers, MAC address and IMEI, meaning it transforms the identifiers into a new value or key representing the original identifier, a Flurry ID. Flurry Analytics does not hash platform device identifiers such as the iOS Identifier for advertising, Android ID and the BB Pin. The information will not be retained in a form allowing direct identification.
If you do not wish for the information to be collected and used in this way, you may opt out by clicking here: https://dev.flurry.com/secure/optOut.do.
Use of your information by Yahoo!
The information collected by Yahoo! can also be used to improve Yahoo!’s services, including the Flurry Analytics and Advertising services. Yahoo! may especially use the information to target the advertising you see on some of the other apps on your device.
